This house was built by the owner of Pioneer Flour Mills in 1860 to house his family near his mills. Get the chance to see antique baking accessories, furniture, and china that was given to his customers while exploring the beautiful home.

4. San Antonio Missions National Historical Park

Explore four Spanish colonial missions at this national park for an insight into life before the United States existed. Learn about the lives of the priests and Native Americans who lived within the walls of the mission and find out why they were so important to the formation of Texas. Admission to the park is free.

5. Spanish Governor’s Palace

This national historic landmark was built in the early 18th century and restored during the 1930s to give people the chance to experience the history and culture of the building. The “Presidio” was constructed to help solidify Spain’s claim to the territory. Now, it offers visitors the rare experience of finding out what life was like hundreds of years ago.
